What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an easy way to get timely news and information without having to browse or search multiple Web sites. By subscribing to RSS feeds, new content from news sites or blogs is delivered directly to the RSS reader of your choice.
Brandeis community members using Bmail can have BrandeisNOW news delivered directly to your mailbox.

Login to Bmail via the Web.

Above the Folders heading in the Navigation pane, click New Folder.

In the Name field, type the name of the RSS feed folder.

Check Subscribe to RSS feed.

From the folder menu select where to add the RSS feed folder. Choosing the root folder creates a folder that displays at the highest level in your folder view, that is the same level as your Inbox folder.

In the URL field, enter http://www.brandeis.edu/now/rss.xml.

Click OK.
- To update the content, open the RSS folder and click Load Feed.
If you are not a Bmail user, choose a Web-based or desktop-based RSS reader. There are a variety of RSS readers available on the Web, including Google Reader. The Firefox 3.0 Web browser allows you to create Live Bookmarks, which are dynamically updated with headlines from RSS feeds. Some desktop email programs like Apple Mail 3 (Mac OS X Leopard) also have built-in RSS readers.
To subscribe to the BrandeisNOW RSS feed, enter the feed's URL (http://www.brandeis.edu/now/rss.xml) into your reader or click the RSS icon at the top of this page to initiate the subscription process.
