Heller students learn how to be successful philanthropists through Sillerman Center course

In these trying economic times, responsible and effective philanthropy has never been more in demand. That’s one of the reasons why the Heller School’s Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy offers a practical philanthropy course that teaches students how to be successful philanthropists. Indeed, the Sillerman Center is leading a growing movement among colleges and universities to incorporate philanthropy into the mainstream curriculum.

Says Andy Hahn, executive director of the Sillerman Center, “We are helping generate a movement where college and graduate students participate in a vital aspect of civic engagement. Teaching philanthropic values to university students is an essential activity in a democratic society.”
