When we learn to manage stress we improve our overall health and ability to channel negative emotions into positive ones. During this workshop you will learn how to use the four-part Whole Message Feedback Model. You’ll have the opportunity to practice giving and receiving feedback as well as receive coaching on ways to perfect your feedback style. The overall objective is to increase your ability to give clear and specific feedback in a way that the receiver can understand and accept it while eventually helping to strengthen your relationship with others.

Motivating for Results

February 7, 2012

9:00am-4:00pm

Hassenfeld, Geller
Successful organizations thrive on new ideas that can lead to better ways of working.  An organization that can put people’s good ideas to use has a powerful competitive edge – continuous improvement.  However, in today’s matrixed, cross-functional workplace, ideas need the support of a wide range of people in order to be successfully implemented.  Unless people have the confidence and skills to win support for their ideas by influencing others, many good ideas will be lost.  In this module, participants will learn to analyze, develop, and present their ideas in a way that will help them win the necessary support.

Navigating Through Change Successfully

February 15, 2012

9:00am-1:00pm

Hassenfeld, Lurias
This workshop is geared towards helping individuals learn to deal with change at the workplace which can help create a more productive learning organization. The program will focus on understanding the stages of change, as well as tactics for managing change more effectively and will help participants to put together a plan for surviving all phases of change both professionally and personally.

Dealing with Difficult People

February 29, 2011

9:00am-1:00pm

Hassenfeld, Lurias
This workshop teaches you how to identify difficult, problematic and potentially destructive behavior. You will learn coping mechanisms and specific strategies to enhance cooperative behavior… learn to get bullies to back off … wallflowers to open up … chronic complainers to quiet down. Knowing how to deal with difficult people will allow you to approach your job with more enjoyment and coworkers with greater confidence.

Behavioral Interviewing

March 14, 2012

9:00am-1:00pm

Hassenfeld, Lurias
The premise behind behavioral interviewing is that the most accurate predictor of future performance is past performance in similar situations. Behavioral interviewing, in fact, is said to be 55 percent predictive of future on-the-job behavior, while traditional interviewing is only 10 percent predictive.  This workshop will focus on experiences, behaviors, knowledge, skills and abilities that are job related as well as behavioral interview technique to evaluate a candidate's experiences and behaviors so they can determine the applicant's potential for success.

Peer Today, Boss Tomorrow

April 5, 2012

9:00am-1:00pm

Hassenfeld, Levine-Ross
This workshop is designed to help participants make a successful transition from “co-worker” to “manager” or “supervisor,” Peer Today, Boss Tomorrow presents four proven strategies that will help new supervisors navigate changing relationships and prepare for the most difficult situations they’re likely to encounter as they assume their new role.

Situational Leadership

April 26, 2012

9:00am-1:00pm

Hassenfeld, Levine-Ross

One key to the success of a manager is their ability to switch, or flex, styles as conditions change.

Situational Leadership theory states that instead of using just one style, successful leaders are able to change styles based on the maturity of the people they're leading and the detailed tasks. Using this theory, leaders will be able to place more or less emphasis on the task, and more or less emphasis on the relationships with the people they're leading, depending on what is needed to get the job done successfully.
