Projects

The International Center for Ethics, Justice, and Public Life, which houses the Alan B. Slifka Program in Intercommunal Coexistence, oversees several projects that enhance global coexistence and justice, including:

Brandeis Programs in International Justice and Society, which aims to enhance the work of the international justice system by informing the general public about its accomplishments and challenges, serving the needs of the international judiciary through institutes and meetings, and encouraging inquiry on related activities in the fields of human rights and complementary justice programs. The Programs in International Justice and Society has prepared a Brandeis library research guide to international justice, which offers an overview of the field.

Coexistence International, which strengthens the field of policymakers, practitioners, researchers, advocates, organizations, and networks promoting coexistence at local, national, and international levels, and promotes a complementary approach to coexistence through facilitating connections, learning, reflection, and strategic thinking between those in the coexistence field and those in related areas. Coexistence International is a component of the Slifka Program in Intercommunal Coexistence.

Creative Resources for Coexistence and Reconciliation, a virtual resource center that links the resources, knowledge, and dynamism of the coexistence field with the resources, knowledge and the spirit of inquiry and reflection that are hallmarks of the university. Creative Resources for Coexistence and Reconciliation is a component of the Slifka Program in Intercommunal Coexistence.

Master of Arts in Coexistence and Conflict, which provides students with a solid grounding in both the theories of contemporary coexistence work and the professional skills to design and implement successful interventions that enable divided peoples to live together more equitably, respect each other's diversity, and acknowledge each other's interdependence. The Master of Arts in Coexistence and Conflict is a component of the Slifka Program in Intercommunal Coexistence.

Sorensen Fellowship, which supports Brandeis sophomores and juniors to implement a project of their own design as an intern in the organization of their choice, anywhere in theworld.
