Where Do I Go From Here?

Our students follow many career paths after leaving Brandeis. Some have continued on to graduate schools for Ph.D.s and lives as professors in top U.S. universities that include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University.

Others have taken jobs in Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft and Google to pursue research and development in their chosen field. Other students opted to start their own companies and enjoy the satisfaction and challenge of developing products to meet today’s needs in a competitive marketplace.

Many of our students — some of them double majors — have continued on to professional schools in medicine, law or business, while others entered the creative arts through animation or 3D games. We have also had students decide to participate in Teach for America or the Peace Corp directly after Brandeis, often as a first step in a career of service to society.

Alumni from the physical and computational science majors include a Nobel Prize winner, many successful entrepreneurs, professors at distinguished universities throughout the nation and world, and research scientists in corporate labs.
