The arts faculty members are practicing professionals in their area and serve as excellent mentors and advisers for students entering the field. Many faculty members help their students secure work opportunities after graduation.

Prominent alumni include Robyn Goodman ’69, a Tony Award-winning Broadway producer; Michael Kaiser ’75, president of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; Emmy Award-winning actress Debra Messing ("Will and Grace"); and Gary Tinterow, Engelhard Chairman of the Department of Nineteenth-Century, Modern, and Contemporary Art at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
